Teresa's Mosaic

COCINA + CANTINA MEXICANA

About us

The story of Teresa’s Mosaic Café begins with a hardworking couple who opened a Mexican restaurant specializing in Oaxacan and Sonoran dishes that has become a long-standing family restaurant in Tucson. Teresa’s was first opened in 1984 by immigrant husband and wife Alfonso and Teresa Matias who have showcased the best of their family recipes while staying true to authentic Oaxacan ingredients.

Their hard work, dedication and love for their culture have earned them features and mentions in publications such as the New York Times, Sunset Magazine, Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Weekly and others. Their huevos rancheros, considered the best in the United States by food experts, were featured in an episode of "Throwdown with Bobby Flay." Year after year, Teresa's Mosaic Café has been awarded the Best of Tucson ... Come to Teresa's Mosaic Cafe; live and taste Oaxaca through all of its dishes; enjoy the vistas, and experience the best Tucson has to offer.
